I bought the "deluxe" static air system for the RV-8 and installation was pretty straight foward. Looks good and should give nice and accurate altitude results. The static air lines are connected to the EFIS glass panel transducers to provide altitude and rate of climb information. The more accurate the air pressure, the more accurate the readings. The tubes connect to drilled out pop-rivets in the side of the fuselage in an area where the air is the most stable.
