Brief Description: Wing Bulkhead Cap Installation - Part 1
Another part of the fuselage interior that can be installed once all of the wiring is complete are the left and right fuselage wing bulkhead caps. For some reason, Van's didn't include anywhere near enough of the LP4-3 round head pop rivets that are called out for installing the caps. However, I had a metric ton of the flush head CS4-4 rivets. I decided that flush rivets would look a lot nicer here anyway and it turned out I was right.
Dimpling all those holes turned out to be a bit more work than I expected as did popping all the rivets because of the tight quarters, but when all was said and done, the cap installation came out exceptionally nice and I would highly recommend the extra time to use the CS4-4 flush rivets. CherryMax pop rivets would have looked even nicer, but I didn't have quite enough of them...
