Brief Description:  Canopy Rail & Frame Installation Complete - Part 1

Since all of the internal systems and bits and pieces were now installed in the fuselage, it was time to start the final installation of the Canopy Frame. I had held off installing the sliding rails until the last minute as they raise the sides of the cockpit up another inch and a half or so and would be likely to get scratched with all of the climbing in and out during the interior work.

I had to fabricate the nylon stop at the back of the canopy frame as I had screwed the first one up. I had ordered a replacement raw material part, but for some reason had forgotten to finish fabbing it. The rollers went in nicely as did the half-open latch and main latch.

The black texture powder coat REALLY looks cool on the canopy frame. 100 times better than the stock gloss, white.
