Brief Description: New Fuel Pressure Transducer Fitting
During the first engine start, one of the three minor problems experienced was a small fuel leak coming out of one of the fuel pressure transducer fittings. The transducer tree on the firewall has 1/8" NPT fittings, and the pressure transducer has a 1/4" NPT fitting. Originally, I wasn't able to find a single fitting that would make that connection and ended up using three separate fittings screwed into each other to finally make the connection from the tree to the transducer. No wonder it leaked. I unmounted the transducer from the firewall and was able to get a whole additional turn out of the fittings, but was disappointed to discover that it still leaked. I was discussing the problem with a fellow RV builder here at LVK, and ultimately he provided me with a single fitting that made the connection transition between the transducer and the tree. I cleaned and reassembled everything and am extremely happy to report that the leak has been fixed! Yahoo.
