Brief Description:  Avionics & AHRS Leveling Brackets - Part 02

I am happy to report, though, that when all was said and done everything came out very nice and actually quite a bit more rigid than the original mount. I was a little worried about the geometry of the parallelogram that the two bulkheads and the sides of the fuselage form with respect to getting the top skin cleco'd on. Since the skin and the bulkheads are predrilled at the factory, if I had somehow gotten the angles of the second bulkhead and instrument panel bulkhead off, then there was a good change that the holes wouldn't line up when I put the skin on. I decided it would be better to discover this now, rather than later, so I cleco'd the top skin on all the way around the bulkheads and fuselage sides. I'm extremely happy to report that the fit was very acceptable so the geometry of the new ARHS level mounts must have matched the original installation pretty close! Yahoo!

Next I have to install pitot static lines from the back of the avionics panel back to the rear of the fuselage. Its basically some plastic tubes. THEN, I will finally be ready to put all of the avionics back into the instrument panel and start wiring things up! Ah, yahoo!
