Brief Description:  Rear Turtle Deck Skin - Part 01

As luck would have it, I ended up doing this little job twice. I had the first one all dimpled, filed, and Cleco'd to the rear of the fuselage and it looked pretty good. Then one day, I was cleaning up the workshop and moved my band saw over (its on wheels) and ended up rolling the saw right into the side of the fuselage! Yeah, you guessed it; a nice little dent in the Rear Turtle Deck. So, I ordered yet another one from Van's and when through the whole process again. In retrospect, it kind of worked out because on the first one (for the rebuild) I had kind of over-dimpled some of the rivet holes particularly around the 1/8" rivets for the passenger shoulder straps. Having to redo this skin afforded me the opportunity to not screw up that dimpling task. I'm pleased to report that the second one came out perfect and looks great.
