Brief Description:  Hangar Final Assembly Continues - Part 1

The RV-8 2.0 reassembly continued today with a bunch more work on the tail including adding the rudder and tailwheel steering arm. Also added connectors for the rudder strobe and position light and a connector for the OAT probe. The empennage fairing also went back on and finished up that back end nicely. Decided to bleed the brakes today and amazingly that went very smoothly and there wasn't a single leak even after a significant amount of brake pumping. Whoo Hoo! Dug the wings out late in the day and got the heated pitot reinstalled and the wiring all hooked up. Also included a couple of pictures of the new wheel pant, spinner, and upper gear fairings that came back from the painters on Friday night. They are all a work of art. So smooth and beautiful! I can hardly wait to see them on the plane!

Tomorrow, the wings go back on and then the wing tips and then fuel take level sender calibration. If there's time, maybe all the floor boards and carpeting will go back in. Tuesday engine start and taxi tests! Wednesday, test flight - maybe!
