Brief Description:  Garmin GTX-327 BNC Clip

I'm particularly proud of the special clip I made for the GTX-327's BNC fitting on the back. Attached to the radio is a male "slider" BNC of sorts. However, there is no way to screw a standard female coax BNC connecter on to it. On the tray side, there is a female receptacle for the male slider, with a traditional BNC on the other end that a coax antenna cable can be attached. Since I wanted to get rid of the rear bracket on the tray, however, this left an issue with respect how to hold the coax on. After some thought and about three tries, I came up with a little "C" shaped retainer bracket that screws to the radio with the stock screws that attach the female slider connector to the back of the case. On the other side, I added the "BNC Slider-to-BNC-Traditional" and reused the stock retainer clip! It fits perfectly and holds on very tightly. Best of all, I can now use a standard BNC female coax adapter to connect/disconnect the antenna to the unit!! Sweet.
