Brief Description:  Electrical Design - Schematic Creation - Part 3

The process of creating a schematic is taking quite a while but in the end I think it will be worth the time spent. I've been creating drawings of each piece of equipment including all of the electrical connectors and then using the various PDF manuals to recreate the electrical pinouts. Its time consuming to say the least. But, just the process of creating the various symbols has helped me get my head around just where to start on this project.

I started a equipment load spreadsheet that lists every piece of electrical gear including both passive (switches) and active (radios, lights, etc.) components. I listed whether I've already drawn the schematic representation of the device yet, type of gear it is, the power buss it will be connected to on the VP-200 electrical system, the circuit type (dimmable, softstart, etc.), how much current the device takes, and its weight. I had no idea there were so many things to put in the airplane!
