Brief Description:  Bypass Breaker Mounting - Part 1

Finding a location and designing a bracket for the Emergency Bypass Breakers was a little tougher than I thought it was going to be. I wanted a spot that would be easy to get to and that I wouldn't have to pull any panels to get to, but also a spot that was out of the way. I finally settled on the shelf in the rear baggage area and the location seems perfect. I carefully mounted the breakers as shown and then marked the baggage area shelf skin and then drilled the holes for the breakers to poke through. Amazingly, the alignment came out perfect! One of the pictures shows the breaker popped (white band showing).

There will be a #8 power cable attached to the buss bar lug going down directly to the battery Positive lug. This will provide direct power to the critical components like the EFIS and Nav/Com in the case of a failure of the VP-200 electrical system.
