Brief Description: Rear Baggage Area Lighting & Wiring Update
There were a couple of things bugging me about the lighting for the rear baggage area. I had only installed a single Jumbo LED block on the right side and the lack of symmetry was really sticking in my craw. A single LED array was a little if-y as far as enough light too, especially if I was using it to see into the battery area or farther back into the fuselage cone. The other thing that was bugging me was the kind of "messy" wiring with the #22's swinging over the top of the back rest support. Something had to be done about these unacceptable conditions.
To that end, I added a second Jumbo LED block to the left side, and then redid the wiring and added some of that sweet spiral wrap. I also converted all of the attachment screws from the pan-head to the flush-head variety on the cabin side of the bulk head. All-in-all, I'm very pleased with the results. The two LED arrays really kick out the light and should make maintenance in the tail cone a lot easier. The piece of mind with the new, neater wiring arrangement will allow me to sleep at night now as well.
