Brief Description:  Fresh Air SCAT Tube Routing - Part 1

Routed the SCAT tubing for the two front fresh air vents today. I need to add a some more caterpillar grommets (currently on order) around each of the punched holes to protect the SCAT, but other than that, its done. It came out very nice I think. Even the hole through the left side of the baggage area came out nicely and removal of the baggage floor won't be too hard since the tubing can just be pulled out to allow for the its removal. Its not altogether clear from the plans, but I think Van's expects you to route the SCAT down underneath the bulkhead instead of going though it like I did. The downside of going underneath is that the tube is then right in the way of the pilot's legs and gets kicked when getting in and out.

I'm thinking that I'm going to want to maybe make a little sheet metal shield to go on the left in the baggage area to protect it. But, for now, I'll hold off on that as its possible that the "front baggage area" will actually become the "front avionics mounting area" and it won't be needed.
