Brief Description:  Fuel Vent Lines - Part 1

The 1/4" fuel venting lines were a little easier to work with than the 3/8" fuel supply lines. That being said, having to rout them inside the gear towers proved somewhat frustrating. The plans said to make a template using a couple of old hangers, which I did and which actually worked pretty well. From the hanger template I bent the 1/4" tube for the right side. Then, used the right side as a template for the left side. There are two bulkhead fittings in the side of the fuselage for attaching to the fuel tanks and these went in pretty easy. The holes were slight undersized, which seemed odd. The "vent" end of each line then makes a big loop up inside the gear tower to equalize the pressure and then vents out under the fuselage. I left the underside lengths long for now, but ultimately they will be cut to 1/2", bent slightly forward and tapered off.

Over all, the vents came out very nice and I'm pleased with the installation.
