Brief Description:  Passenger Seat, Arm Rests, & Head Rest - Part 1

The new, all-Conforfoam passenger seat and back rest arrived late last week, along with the passenger head rest. Also included in the package were the front and rear arm rest foam pieces cut to my CAD dimensions.

The foam for the passenger seat is *amazingly* comfortable and with the addition of the foam arm rests, its kind of like sitting in a LazyBoy recliner! The passenger seat arm rests were just a little too big and the back seat rubbed on them when the rear baggage area was accessed. This would eventually wear out the leather, so I cut them down about 1/4" on the outside. The back seat clears nicely now and there was no noticeable impact to the function of the arm rests.

I mounted the new passenger head rest as well and its in the perfect place and allows for easy, comfortable viewing of the passenger 7" LCD display that is mounted in the back of the pilot's head rest.

The downside of the shipment was that my dimensions for the pilot arm rests were a little under sized. Sitting in the normal position in the pilot's seat, my elbows just missed the arm rest foams both in height and width. So, I redesigned the CAD drawing, adding about 1" to the height, width, and length and emailed it off to Classic Aero to have them make the second generation. I'm anxious to get them back and try them out.
