Brief Description: Adding The Right Fiberglass Wing Tip - Part 01
The installation of the right fiberglass wing tip went as well as the left one did. Cutting and fitting of the tip to the wing was a little more difficult for some reason and required a bit more TLC to get things lined up just right. Once that was done, adding the tip rib went pretty smoothly as did the tapering of the trailing edge of the wing tip to match the aileron trailing edge line. The installation of the strobe/position light fixture went quickly and as you can see from the pictures, the cutting and fitting of the clear lens turned out nearly perfect. Just slightly better than the left side, in fact. The countersinking and installation of the mounting holes for the tip-to-wing platenuts came out very nice and just a tad better than the left side too. The wiring went well and final mounting of the tip to the wing looks super sweet, if I do say so myself! :-)
