Brief Description: Reworking The Fiberglass Wing Tips - Part 2
I'm very happy to report that once the resin cured and I removed the jack, the tip held the new shape and I now have a perfectly aligned trailing edge all the way from the fuselage across the flap, the aileron, out though the wing tip on both the left and right sides! Yahoo!
I then took the tip off the wing and added another layer of glass cloth to the inside to give it some strength again. Worked well. You know, this fiberglassing stuff really isn't all that difficult. The key to success is, however, extreme patience... That is something I wasn't born with, but I am learning... ;-)
