On the bottom of the engine, the sheet metal baffles wrap around the bottom of the cylinders and are tied together with safety wire covered with some scrap brake line tubing to prevent chaffing on the cylinders. I installed these tonight and they came out very nice. BTW, I didn't have nearly enough of the brake line tube in the baffle kit. I was short by nearly a foot. Fortunately, I had some left over from the brake line installation. FYI
