Brief Description:  Duckworks 50w HID Landing Light - Part 2

Marking the raw Plexiglass lens went pretty smoothly and again I used the Dremel cutoff wheel and a flat file to cut and smooth the edges to the correct size. I used a special set of Plexiglass drill bits that I had used on the canopy to drill the six mounting holes in the lens. No problems here and it came out completely crack-free.

Mounting the lens brackets went well and the two-piece, "masking tap handle" described in the installation manual worked amazingly well at pulling the lens up close to the inside of the leading edge to get the screws installed.

The installation came out pretty much perfect, and I'm very pleased with the look and functionality of the Duckworks system. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is serious about landing and taxi lights. It took about three evenings to do the installation and that included doing the Plexiglass lens over again and taking all the pictures.

The amount of light output from these HID bulbs is incredible. You won't be sorry you went with the HID over standard incandescent or even halogen.
