Brief Description: Hanger Before Customizations - Part 1
Since I've got some big plans for my hanger out at Livermore, I thought I'd better take some pictures of what it looked like before I really got started on the upgrades. You know, for posterity... :-) Currently I have the RV-4 project stored in the hanger and he looks a little tiny in that giant hanger! But soon he will have a big-brother RV-8 and things are going to get a little tight.
Now that the City has approved my electrical modifications, I've ordered 9ea, 8' florescent fixtures that will be equally distributed around the hanger. I want to initially mount them down fairly low - perhaps 8' or so - but want the ability to raise them up as necessary. In addition to the lights, I'm going to add a few duplex outlets around the parameter of the hanger. Once the electrical is complete, I'll have some indoor/outdoor carpet professional installed which should really make the 'ol hanger feel like home!!
Eventually, I want to build a couple of nice work benches and some shelving and cabinets. But all of that will have to wait until the RV-8 is flying, darnit!
